Skin Nutrition

Our science is simple. It’s about skin Nutrition.

Fact : your skin is the largest organ of your body and it needs a nutritious diet, containing vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids to support it’s optimal function. Just like the rest of your body. You know when you are eating healthy food your body feels healthier, and it is the same for your skin!

A nutritious diet for your skin is NOT just what you put in your mouth, it’s also what you put on your skin!

Eating a healthy diet is important for healthy skin, but your brain doesn’t necessarily prioritize your skin over your other organs when allocating the nutrients from your diet.   But your skin is highly absorbent so applying nutritious diet directly to your skin, allows vitamins and minerals to penetrate deep into the skin to strengthen, repair and prevent damage at the dermis.
Skincare containing vitamins and minerals is not new. But most skincare brands, who claim to contain potent vitamin mix, often contain synthetic ingredients, which have been man-made in lab to mimic real vitamins (because these vitamins are cheaper and last longer on a shelf versus real ingredients), mixed with fillers, water and harsh preservatives.
A healthy body can’t live on food filled with processed and artificial ingredients and synthetic preservatives, and in the same way these elements are not an equal replacement for a nutritious skincare routine.

Skin nutrition is NOT about a quick fix through applying synthetic ingredients from a lab

to your skin, but topically feeding the skin a nutritious diet, supporting the skins normal functioning with vitamins and minerals to repair the functional health of the skin deep in the dermis. Skincare that is formulated with real ingredients, for real results.

The Clean Skin Movement is nutritious superfood skincare that is an extension of a healthy diet, that contains the right mix of vitamins and minerals which improved the functional health of your skin, giving you glowing radiant skin!

A nutritious diet for your skin contains the following mix of vitamins:
Vitamin A / BETA CAROTEN: Beta carotene, also known as “provitamin A” as it is a precursors to the production of vitamin A in the body. Beta carotene prevents premature skin ageing by acting as an antioxidant, a substance that reduces oxygen damage caused by UV light, pollutions and other environmental hazards
Vitamin B 3 : reduce the appearance of aged skin by boosting and regenerating the structural protein collagen.
Vitamin B 5: prevents skin water loss and improves skin barrier functioning
Vitamin C: helps create collagen, a type of connective tissue that keeps our skin firm.  also a well-known antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage
Vitamin D in the skin helps minimize acne, boost elasticity, stimulate collagen production, enhance radiance, and lessen lines and the appearance of dark spots
Vitamin E: protects the skin from free radical damage
Vitamin K : important in the maintenance of healthy skin and may be linked to preventing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles that are often associated with aging skin
Vitamin F: t omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids help build skin cells and encourage skin cell growth
Magneisum : Magnesium helps improve your skin's overall appearance, reducing acne and other skin disorders by lowering cortisol levels, stabilizing hormonal imbalances, and improving cellular processes
Zinc :which boosts immune function, helps control that inflammatory response
Silica:One of the biggest components of collagen is actually silica. Since collagen is the connective tissue that makes up most of our skin, it is not difficult to realise the importance of adequate silica levels . Is also an excellent supplement in combating mild to moderate acne
